First Tech Challenge, primarily a robotics
competition for students from grades 7 to 12.
First is a project-based based hands-on learning that
introduces students of various ages to develop
their creative problem-solving, leadership and

communication skills. Teams have to build and program a robot that
completes the challenge of the season. Team
has to document an Engineering portfolio,
talking about the outreaches, engineering
design process and everything they do

throughout the season.
